Lake Forest College invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. The position, which is ideal for someone desiring experience in a Division III collegiate coaching environment, will offer the chosen candidate the opportunity to assist the head coach with a wide variety of coaching duties in order to accomplish the overall goals and objectives of the men’s basketball program. The nature of the position is such that a considerable amount of evening and weekend work will be necessary. The chosen candidate will demonstrate the ability to work as a member of the Forester Athletic Department “team” and support the mission, goals, and procedures of the department and the College.

Responsibilities:

Assistant coach will be involved in all aspects of running an NCAA Division III program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, on-court instruction for practice and games, scouting opponents and game film preparation, along with other assigned duties. Successful candidates must have strong interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment while motivating student-athletes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is required
