Under the direction of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for providing assistance to the Head Coach in all aspects of the development and administration of a successful NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Sports Program.  The program will be conducted in accordance with all University and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules, regulations, and policies.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

1. Teaching/Coaching — (80% of Assistant Coach’s Time)
   a.  Teach and develop sport specific skills, in a successful, safe,
   and prudent manner.
   b.  Develop, present, and maintain up-to-date lesson plans of
   pre-season/in-season practice drills and procedures.
   c.  Schedule practice and game preparation sessions.
   d.  Conduct research of opposing teams.
2. Administrative — (20% of Assistant Coach’s Time)
   a.  Recruit student-athletes of the highest caliber.
   b.  Initiate new ideas and methods to improve the program.

This is a part-time (15 hours per week), 9-month position paid by stipend on a bi-weekly basis.
