Description:
The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach; will serve a dual role as a coach and administrator within the Roosevelt Athletic Department. In the coaching role the individual will aid the head men’s basketball coach in providing leadership and organization for all phases of the operation of the intercollegiate program at Roosevelt in compliance with National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) rules and regulations. Responsibilities of the assistant coach include, but are not limited to, practice planning and assessment, supervision of practices and competitions, individual student-athlete instruction, mentorship and evaluation, scouting of opponents, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, and assistance with team travel. In the Coordinator of Intramurals and Recreation role the individual will create and oversee operations of all intramural athletic and club sport activities, including scheduling intramural activities and leagues, recruiting participants for scheduled events via internal and external marketing avenues, and handling operations of intramural activities. Coordinator will oversee student workers and allocated budget as assigned by the Athletic Director.
