The Department of Athletics (Member of the MIAC and NCAA Division III) seeks experienced candidates to assist the head men’s basketball coach in all aspects of running a successful basketball program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: serving as recruiting coordinator, practice plan development, individual and small group instruction, video analysis, large group instruction and individual meetings with both the head coach and individual players. The assistant coach will be expected to attend practices and competitions, travel with the team for away-competitions, and assist in all areas of travel planning and program organization. Recruiting duties include but are not limited to: scouting and evaluation, planning and executing campus visits, phone calls, emails, mailings and managing the recruiting database (Front Rush). The assistant men’s basketball coach will also have an additional administrative duty within the athletic department (example: Sports Information).
