To assist the head coach with all aspects of maintaining a highly competitive Division II men basketball program within the policy framework of the institution.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
1. Must have a Bachelor Degree.
2. Previous coaching experience required.
3. Head coaching or collegiate coaching experience preferred.
DUTIES: The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to:
1. Recruitment and development of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes while maintaining a recruiting database;
2. Coordinating on-campus prospect visits and off-campus recruiting
3. Monitoring student-athlete academic development and well-being
4. Player development both in strength and individual skill development
5. Assist with practice and game planning and management
6. On the floor coaching in practice and game situations
7. Scouting opponents
8. Overseas scheduling of opponents
9. Coordination of team travel
10. Order and maintain supplies & equipment
11. Assisting with organizing and directing camps and clinics
12. Participates in fundraising activities, public relation activities and special projects
13. Complete and submit all necessary Institution, conference and NCAA required documents and reports
14. Working closely with the university admissions and financial aid office and the NCAA Compliance Coordinator and housing director
15. Other duties assigned by the head coach.
