Second Assistant Coach, Men’s Basketball and Community Engagement Coordinator for Athletics. Full-time, academic year appointment in the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. Subsequent appointments are based on merit and program needs.
Serve as a second assistant coach and community engagement coordinator for an NCAA Division II program. The University belongs to the CCAA Conference. Under the direction of the head coach the assistant coach will assist in the promotion of the program. Responsibilities include, assisting in the recruitment of student-athletes, participate in scouting activities as directed, assisting in coordinating practices and games, and fund-raising activities. Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout Southern California. Plan and execute outreach and engagement activities to increase University visibility. Coordinate and promote all sports camps and clinics. Serve as primary coordinator in fulfilling all outreach and engagement agreements between CSULA and various community organizations. Assist the Director of Development in the marketing and promotion of all Division fundraising events. The Assistant Coach is responsible for enforcement of institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations relevant to CSULA Intercollegiate Athletics.
