The Assistant Coach, in collaboration with the Head Men’s Basketball Coach assists in the direction and administration of the Basketball program in a manner that reflects the athletics’ department program goals. This individual reports directly to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and is responsible for creating an environment that is supportive of individual differences and maximizes the educational and athletic development of the student athletes.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Must of knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the annual NCAA Coaches Examination each year.

Must have a valid driver’s license, and pass all background clearances including fingerprinting.

Must have the ability to travel to recruit potential student-athletes.

Must maintain an exemplary standard of conduct, which reflects the highest level of professionalism and good judgment on and off the fields of play.

Minimum of Education / Training:        

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

A minimum of two (2) years of basketball coaching experience at the collegiate level is required.

Collegiate recruiting experience is preferred.

Successful camp development and fundraising experience is preferred.
