This position located on our Douglas Campus, assists the head coach in planning and organizing all phases of a community college athletic program. Recruits and evaluates prospective student-athletes. Scouts assigned opponents. Assists the head coach in preparing and carrying out practices and games and/or athletic contests. Maintains and updates statistics for games and/or athletic contests including inputting statistics into the NJCAA or NIRA website.
Assists in the oversight of student-athlete academic progress, including grade checks and monitoring student-athlete study tables. Assists in the mentoring and monitoring of student-athletes on campus, including the residence halls and study halls. Represents the sports program to various institutional entities and externally to media, students, parents, and the general public.
