The Part-time/Temporary Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach provides leadership and oversight for Dalton State’s inaugural, four-year intercollegiate men’s basketbal program. The Coach is responsible for a program that encourages support for the development of student-athletes as students and individuals as well as providing a competitive platform for the team as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (“NAIA”). The Coach is responsible for ensuring compliance with all state, federal, NAIA, conference, State Board of Regents and College regulations, creating and managing departmental resources in a fiscally responsible manner, and sustaining a culture of professionalism and respect at all levels. The Part-time/Temporary Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach reports directly to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and works in conjunction with all athletics department staff and Dalton State personnel.

The responsibilites of the Part-time/Temporary Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
• Assisting in recruiting qualified student-athletes for the program
• Assisting in establishing goals and directions for the operation of the program and helping craft a successful program athletically and academically
• Assisting in on-campus workouts, if applicable
• Assisting in scheduling and traveling arrangements for the program
• Assisting in all promotion, marketing and fundraising for the Dalton State Men’s Basketball Program and the Dalton State Athletics Department
• Managing and adhering to a budget to be determined by the Director of Athletics
• Representing Dalton State and the Dalton State Men’s Basketball Program at various functions when required by the Head Coach
• Performing other duties as may be assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach
