| Description: | Assists the Head Coach with all aspects of a sports program. Recruits athletes, mentors athletes, fosters athletic, emotional, and academic group of student athletes. Oversees sports equipment, practice plans and schedules, skill development, designs coaching strategies. Oversees public and media relations. Coordinates team travel and schedule. Adheres to all rules and regulations. The Assistant Coach – Director of Scouting for Men’s Basketball Carries out coaching assignments during daily work-outs, practices, and scheduled events. Enforces team rules. Maintains statistics. Monitors each assigned athlete’s performance and employs specific coaching modalities to meet needs. The role will also provide oversight and management for all aspects of scouting videos as well as team and student-athlete operations communication and development. This includes film exchange, video capture, editing, production, equipment maintenance, related support for coaches‚ and student-athletes use. Will serve as primary liaison to areas such as academics, student-athlete housing, financial aid and equipment. Maintains team calendar and correspondence. Assistant camp director for Pitt Sports Camps. Must possess excellent logic and troubleshooting skills, and demonstrate excellent customer service. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position will report to the Head Basketball Coach.
