Under the direction of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Coach will provide support and assistance with all aspects of the basketball program. Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting in all recruiting, training, mentoring, fund raising activities, and coaching of the members of the Men’s Basketball team. The Assistant Coach of Men’s Basketball is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Furman University, the Conference, and the NCAA. Furman University is a member of the NCAA at the Division I level. Assistant Coach will need to have the ability to recruit at a high academic and athletic level those prospective student-athletes that meet the admissions requirements of Furman University.
