A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s preferred. The desired candidate should possess prior coaching experience in Division I Basketball and must demonstrate experience in promoting academic as well as athletic excellence in a program. A commitment to compliance with all NCAA and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) rules and regulations is expected.

Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Assist the Head Coach in administering a highly competitive Division I Men’s Basketball program
• Assist student athletes with meeting the Academic requirements when needed
• Assist with scouting, recruitment, training and coaching of student athletes
• Abide by all NCAA, SWAC and university rules and regulations
• Promote the program within the community and local area through public appearances and taking part in departmental fund raising activities
• Other duties as assigned by Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics
