Belmont Abbey College, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Conference Carolinas, invites applications for the current position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The successful candidate for this full-time, twelve-month position will oversee all aspects of an established collegiate basketball program, including, but not limited to, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, monitoring academic progress toward degree, budgeting, scheduling, game and practice preparation, individual and team development, facility maintenance, fundraising, and community activity. The incumbent must fulfill these duties while adhering to all rules, guidelines, and principles as set forth by the NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and Belmont Abbey College. Preference will be given to those candidates who can demonstrate a work history and vision in the recruitment of student-athletes that fits well with the institution’s mission and character as a distinctively Catholic and Benedictine college that views sport as a means of developing virtue. The minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree as well as previous experience coaching competitive men’s basketball.
