Indiana University -Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), an NCAA Division I institution and a member qf the Summit League, is accepting applications for the position of 2nd Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach with recruiting; camps and clinics; practices; competitions; weight training and conditioning; game strategies; administrative duties (video tape exchange, scheduling team travel, visiting team requests , etc.) and team meetings. This individual will also instruct health, physical education and recreation (HPER) classes for the School of Education.
Bachelor ‘s degree required. One year playing or coaching experience at the college level required . Must have excellent written/ora l communication and organizational skills. A working knowledge of NCAA rules is prefen-ed. A criminal conviction record check is required for employment in this position. The successful candidate must be committed to the student-athlete’s academic, personal and athletic development, and will demonstrate the ability to successfully recruit and motivate Division I student-athletes.
