Langston University, an HBCU (Historically Black College and University) located just outside Oklahoma City, seeks a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Assistant Coach for the Men’s Basketball Program. Character qualities of competitive applicants include high energy, positive attitude and a passion to help student-athletes succeed academically and athletically. Professional skills include high level basketball IQ, ability to relate and connect with players, recruits, parents, and coaches. Duties include, but are not limited to: Basketball instruction, strategy, player development, practice planning, scheduling, coordinate travel, monitor academic progress of players, conduct study hall, recruit quality student-athletes, develop/improve summer camps, scout opponents, film breakdown, and other duties as necessary.
