Legacy Early College is accepting applications for Assistant Boys’ Basketball coach for the 2022-2023 school year.  This position includes Room/Board, Monthly Stipend, and Meals.

Legacy Early College is a college preparatory K-12 public charter school located in Greenville, SC.  The Boys’ basketball program competes at the highest level of high school basketball and has helped dozens of players reach their goal of playing Division 1 basketball and even the NBA.  The team is a member of the National Interscholastic Basketball Conference (NIBC) along with Montverde Academy (FL), Oak Hill Academy (VA), La Lumiere School (IN), Sunrise Christian Academy (KS), Wasatch Academy (UT), Bishop Walsh School (MD), IMG (FL), AZ Compass (AZ), Long Island Lutheran (NY).  Legacy Early College is looking for motivated candidates that share energy and enthusiasm for the game of basketball in addition to helping young men succeed on the court and in the classroom.  Legacy Early College is a school and community committed to preparing their scholars to attend and graduate college.  This position is a great opportunity to network with college and grassroots coaches of all levels while being a part of a program that coaches high level talent and is determined to compete for a High School National Championship.   Duties include, but are not limited to; Full-time residential supervisor, on floor coaching, recruiting/prospect evaluations, skill development, opponent scouting, practice planning, monitoring academics (including study halls), film/video breakdown, equipment management, social media/ digital outreach, transportation (valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required) and other duties assigned by the head coach.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree Preferred
• Previous experience coaching/playing high school and/or college athletics.
• Previous coaching experience or position on college staff
• Must be able to work evenings/weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule.
• Must pass a background check.
