The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach should conscientiously perform the duties assigned by the Head Basketball Coach in connection with the supervision and administration of the Basketball Program. The Assistant Coach will work to assist with recruiting qualified student athletes; provide support with monitoring the academic progress of student athletes; assist with conducting practice, including conditioning activities; assist in providing guidance and strategies to student athletes during completion; adhere to department, University, MEAC and NCAA rules and regulations; perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in coaching on the collegiate level and knowledge of NCAA and MEAC policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree preferred.

Requirements: Knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; ability to display and relay commitment to academic achievement; ability to work with students; ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
