To assist the Head Coach with the overall operations of the Men’s basketball program, in accordance with Northern Kentucky University, Great Lakes Valley Conference, and National Collegiate Athletics Association regulations. The assistant coach must have a commitment to the philosophy of providing a competitive NCAA Division II basketball program that emphasizes integrity and the educational welfare of its student-athletes.
Primary Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruiting student-athletes, scouting, assist in planning and conducting practice, assist in skill developement and conditioning, oversee study table and academic performance of student-athlete, assist during games with strategy etc., oversee managers, oversee all video responsibilities, assist in fundraising, pass NCAA recruiting test, arrange travel and accommodations, arrange team meals, insure health and safety, emphasize integrity and educational welfare of student-athletes, assist and run summer camps, assist with community service,comply with all NKU, GLVC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
