Southwest Minnesota State University invites applications for a full-time athletic fixed-term Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach/Athletic Administration position to begin July 1, 2014 or a date to be negotiated. SMSU is located in the town of Marshall (pop. 13,000) in southwest Minnesota. The Assistant Coach will be involved in all aspects of coaching responsibilities including recruiting, practice, organization, scheduling, trip organization and summer camps. The coaching responsibilities will be less than 50% of the position. Potential other job responsibilities to be assigned could include Marketing and Promotions with an emphasis in advertising sales, Game Management, Intramural Director, Weight Room-Fitness Center Director, or Office of Admission duties based on previous work experience. Position may include some budgeting and hiring/supervising student workers.
