The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for providing leadership, organization and supervision to assist in the management of Temple University’s Division 1 Men’s basketball program.

He/she will assist in the organization and implementation of the recruiting program to attract outstanding basketball athletes to Temple University in accordance with the rules and regulations of NCAA and American Athletic Conference.

The incumbent will motivate and lead student athletes to both academic and athletic success, recruit student athletes, assist with completion of administrative functions, support management of the program within the allotted budget and adhere to NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations. The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach will also perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of directly related experience coaching basketball at the college level. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

*Demonstrated experience recruiting student-athletes.
*Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends.
*Demonstrated ability to work with high school and junior college coaches.
*Demonstrated experience managing administrative tasks related to the operation of college level team sports
*Strong verbal and written communications skills.
*Demonstrated understanding and the ability to adhere to NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.

Preferred:
*Coaching experience at the Division 1 collegiate level.
