The Department of Athletics (Member of the Sun Conference and NAIA Division II) seeks experienced candidates to assist the head men’s basketball coach in all aspects of running a successful program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruiting, individual and small group on court development, video analysis, large group instruction and individual meetings with both the head coach and individual players. The assistant coach will be expected to attend practices and competitions, travel with the team for away-competitions. Recruiting duties may include but are not limited to: scouting and evaluation, planning and executing campus visits, phone calls, emails, and managing a recruiting database.

Candidates must have strong organizational and communication skills, be attentive to details, have the ability to lead and work independently, as well as, within a team environment, maintain confidentiality, show initiative, be punctual, handle frequent interruptions and manage multiple projects while keeping an organized workflow. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a diverse work environment, collaborate with colleagues and mentor and lead student-athletes.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, must have an undergrad GPA of a 3.0 or better. Experience playing and/or coaching and recruiting at the collegiate level in the states of GA, FL, SC and AL is strongly preferred.
