The University of South Dakota Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in developing a NCAA Division I men’s basketball program including but not limited to: recruitment of prospective student-athletes; training and development of team/players on and off the court; travel coordination; summer camp development and administration; teaching assigned courses in the Kinesiology and Sports Science Department in the highest manner of academic standards and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor degree required, masters preferred. Applicants must have at least two years of collegiate coaching experience in the sport of basketball, preference given to those who have D1 experience. Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills. Must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision and the flexibility to travel, work weekends and evenings when necessary. The selected candidate must successfully pass the NCAA recruiting examination.
