APPOINTMENT: August 2016

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for all aspects related to assisting the head coach with conducting practices and games, including student-athlete instruction and development, supervising pre-season and conditioning programs, assisting with recruiting and contacting prospective student-athletes, assisting with team travel and other related duties, and promoting and maintaining positive public relations. Successful candidate must be committed to the academic success of student-athletes and their personal growth and social development. Successful candidate must be fully committed to all NCAA, The Summit League, and Western Illinois University Athletics Department policies and procedures.

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree; Division I collegiate basketball playing experience; experience coaching perimeter positions; ability to successfully demonstrate player development drills; experience with scouting reports; record of recruiting ties in the Midwest; record of recruiting academically and athletically prepared student-athletes and adhering to NCAA regulations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with video editing software
