The mission of the NC State University Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic, and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University. This position will serve as the Assistant Director for North Carolina State Men’s Basketball Team which competes as a NCAA Division 1 team competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

This position coordinates, manages and assists with a wide variety of program functions necessary for the successful day-to-day operations of the Men’s Basketball program. Those responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Budget planning; handling logistics for team and recruiting travel, accountable for delivery of services by travel vendors; coordinating official visits for prospects which includes insuring compliance to NCAA rules and regulations; liaison to external communications, game day administration and complimentary ticket distributions.
  • Working closely with the Director of Basketball Operations, serving as the administrative manager to coaches and other administrative personnel while planning and estimating team and coaches’ recruiting travel. The position prepares game day sheets and scouting reports and manages charitable items request for the Men’s Basketball program.
  • Providing timely reporting and communication to the Sport Supervisor as requested and necessary related to the administration of the Men’s Basketball program. The position assists in coordination of all regular and post-season activities, operations, and travel, including interfacing with the regular travel party, boosters, University Executives, NCAA Travel Coordinators, player families and recruits.
  • Interviewing, hiring, supervising, and overseeing student workers who are responsible for administrative responsibilities within the men’s basketball office and handles the assignment of volunteer positions for Men’s Basketball events.
