This is a part-time, seasonal, non-benefits eligible position reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

 

Salary: $10,000

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these duties:

  • Participate in the evaluation and recruitment of potential basketball student-athletes.
  • Assist with team travel and other administrative items assigned.
  • Contribute toward the development and implementation of a successful basketball philosophy.
  • Create graphics and other recruiting or program promotional items.
  • Prepare scouting reports and game plans.
  • Analyze opponents and current student-athletes through film study and preparation.
  • Advise and counsel student-athletes academically, athletically and socially.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in any field.

Experience: One to two years related experience.

Other Requirements: Skilled in the use of a personal computer, in addition but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, Synergy, and other software applications relevant to this position. Demonstrated success in coaching basketball and recruiting quality student-athletes. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, student-athletes, and administration. Possess strong work ethic, good organization skills, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude. Ability to positively represent the philosophy of Concordia College in all settings and with all respective stakeholders.
