The University of Indianapolis seeks applicants for an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach in the Athletic Department. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position.

The Assistant Coach assists in the coordination and administration of the overall program as requested by the Head Coach. The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition, filming, and recruiting as well as other responsibilities assigned by the Head Coach.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree, and the candidate must have 2-3 years of coaching and playing experience at the college level. Additional qualifications expected are a commitment to the philosophy of NCAA Division II scholarship-level intercollegiate athletics and a dedication to the compliance with that philosophy and the policies of the University of Indianapolis, the Department of Athletics, and the NCAA; the ability to recruit and provide leadership for the student-athletes capable of academic, athletic, and social success in a competitive academic and athletics environment; and the interpersonal skills and qualities necessary to work effectively with student-athletes, faculty, and administrators.
