Believe Prep Academy is currently accepting applications for Full-Time Assistant Basketball Coaches for the 2022-23 school year.

Believe Prep Academy is a college preparatory boarding program for high school and post graduate student-athletes. Believe is located in Rock Hill, SC, a 20-minute drive south of Charlotte, NC. This position would begin immediately.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• On-court coaching
• Video coordination
• Basketball operations
• Dorm supervision
• Recruiting
• Player development
• Transportation
• Assisting with NCAA Eligibility Center obligations
• Additional duties as assigned by Head Coach/Administration

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in College/High School Athletics
• Must be able to work evenings/weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule
• Ability to recruit student-athletes
• Experience using Video Breakdown software such as Hudl or Synergy
• Interest in a career in collegiate or interscholastic coaching, athletic administration or sport management.
• Must have a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license & be able to drive a passenger van.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-Year accredited College or University
• Former college basketball Player or Manager
• Previous Coaching experience
• Desire to work in College/High School athletics

Coaches will be challenged to problem solve, mentor, demonstrate leadership, plan activities and have a flexible schedule. The ability to recruit Unsigned Seniors for a postgrad year is a priority for this role. This program has been a great pathway to jumpstart coaches’ careers. Assistant coaches from this program in past 5 years include a D1 assistant, D2 Juco Head Coach, two D3 assistants & two that are now running their own prep schools!
