The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach in the daily coaching, administrative, and recruiting demands of the program in a part-time capacity.  The Assistant Coach works under the supervision of the Head Coach and Athletic Director.

The hiree will motivate and lead student athletes to both academic and athletic success, recruit student athletes, assist with administrative functions, support management of the program and adhere to NAIA Division I and American Midwest Conference rules and regulations. Must demonstrate an attitude and behavior that reflects the values and mission of the department and University. The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach will also perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.

Required Skills & Abilities:
Ability to motivate and lead student athletes toward competitive and academic success.
Ability to recruit student-athletes.
Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends.
Ability to work with high school and junior college coaches.
Ability to manage administrative tasks related to the operation of college level team sports
Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Academic Support:
Assist student-athletes with enrollment process, coordinate and monitor study hall for the student-athlete,  monitor academic progress and intervene when necessary, maintain effective and open communication with Central Baptist College faculty; inform them of student-athlete absences due to athletic events.

Duties may include the following based on skills and experience:
Video Scouting Breakdown, Player Development, Practice Preparation and Execution, On Floor Coaching, Opponent Scouting, Recruiting.
