Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to on the court coaching in practices and games; recruiting; scouting; summer camps, coordinator on travel arrangements, travel expense reports and any other duties deemed appropriate by the Head Coach. A thorough knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations of Central State University and the NCAA Division II are imperative. Furthermore, the successful candidate must have knowledge of the game of basketball and the skills necessary to communicate and teach this information to the student-athletes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with the organization and supervision for all aspects of the Men’s Basketball program.
• NCAA Division II Rules Compliance.
• Coordinates individual player development workouts and strength training.
• Must possess high integrity, a commitment to excellence, loyalty and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
• Ability to work with a wide range of people.
• Assist with the recruitment of academically qualified student-athletes who can compete at the NCAA II level.
• Team travel including weekends.
• Pre and post-season conditioning.
• Must have the ability to lead the program.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook and Banner.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
