The Men Basketball Assistant Coach reports directly to the Men’s Basketball Head Coach. The Assistant Coach is a part-time position, responsible for assisting in all phases of a NAIA intercollegiate men’s basketball program which includes scheduling, recruiting, travel coordination, budgets and fundraising. This position would also include the task of being the Head JV Men’s Basketball Coach, as well.  Must be committed to the academic and spiritual goals of the university and follow the rules and guidelines set forth by the NAIA and the River States Conference.

Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree is required

– Demonstrated firm spiritual maturity and involved in a local church
-Demonstrated successful collegiate men’s basketball coaching experience
-Demonstrated commitment to the retention and academic success of student-athletes
-Demonstrated coaching and recruiting success, experience in organizing and motivating student-athletes to maximum performance level
-Demonstrated ability to work, communicate and develop rapport with students, alumni, administration and community groups
-Demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of NAIA regulations
-Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience
