The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is a full-time, 12-month position and reports directly to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The Assistant Coach must be committed to developing a high caliber, Christ-centered program and is responsible for assisting the Head Coach with the overall development of the basketball program, including but not limited to, identifying and recruiting talented student-athletes, sports discipleship, academic mentoring, on-floor coaching duties, player development, travel coordination, and various other operational responsibilities.
The Assistant Coach must be willing to travel for games and recruiting, which will include evenings and weekends. The Assistant Coach must adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the Athletic Department, ETBU, the NCAA, and the American Southwest Conference and is responsible for encouraging student-athletes in their spiritual, academic, athletic, and social development.
Three years prior coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. Recruiting experience is preferred. The Assistant Coach must be a committed Christian and be active in a local church.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required and a Master’s Degree preferred.
