Grinnell College is currently seeking an energetic, motivated, and well-organized individual to serve as full-time assistant men’s basketball coach. This is a 1-year term position with a possible renewal for a 2nd year.

Responsibilities: The full-time assistant men’s basketball coach will work with the head coach to develop and execute a recruiting plan, which encompasses the development Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach – Grinnell Collegeof a recruiting pool, the participation in recruiting camps, execution of a coherent messaging system, and travel throughout the U.S. to academic showcases. Coaching responsibilities will focus on player development, contributing to game plans, creating scouting reports, and film exchange/breakdown. Additional responsibilities also include departmental administrative responsibilities (ie. strength and conditioning or event management).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Previous playing or coaching experience is required.
• Recruiting experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently, and as a member of the team.
• Knowledge of Midwest Conference and NCAA rules and ability to recruit qualified student-athletes is required.
