Grinnell College is currently seeking an energetic, motivated, and well-organized individual to serve as full-time assistant men’s basketball coach and assistant strength and conditioning coach. This is a 3-year term position.

Responsibilities: The full-time assistant men’s basketball coach will work with the head coach to develop and execute a recruiting plan, which encompasses the development of a recruiting pool, the participation in recruiting camps, execution of a coherent messaging system, and travel throughout the U.S. to academic showcases. Coaching responsibilities will focus on player development, contributing to game plans, creating scouting reports, and film exchange/breakdown. Additional responsibilities also include overseeing strength and conditioning workouts for various teams on campus.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Previous playing or coaching experience is required. NCAA strength certification, or the ability to obtain certification required. Recruiting experience preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently, and as a member of the team. Knowledge of Midwest Conference and NCAA rules and ability to recruit qualified student-athletes is required.
