The Position Coach must have basketball expertise and exhibit excellence in position specific coaching and instruction in practice and contests.  The Coach serves as a positive example of a leader and role model—assistance and awareness of the academic success of student athletes is a priority for all coaches.

This individual will work, cooperate and communicate with the athletic department and college staff concerning all areas of program operations, including organization, equipment, and scheduling of practices; fulfilling additional requirements such as attending practices and competitions as determined by the Head Coach; adhering to NJCAA coaching principals as described annually in the NJCAA handbook; following Harford Community College, conference, and NJCAA policies and procedures while supporting the Mission of the College; and perform other duties as assigned.

The position-specific coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing and conducting practices; and performing other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
