Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach and Head JV Basketball Coach, assist the Head Coach with all facets of the Men’s basketball program.

Job Responsibilities: 

The assistant men’s basketball coach will assist the head coach with all facets of the men’s basketball program. Those responsibilities include but are not limited to: On-site coaching at games and practices, including organization and implementation of daily practices. Prepare video breakdown and analysis, and present analysis to team members. Plan and prepare for games. Assist in coordinating the strength and conditioning program. Assist in academic counseling and advising. Monitor academic progress. Recruit qualified student-athletes. Assist and coordinate team travel. Perform additional duties as assigned.

The assistant will also be in charge of running and maintaining the Junior Varsity basketball program. Where the duties will include:
Scheduling and organizing practices and games. Academic counseling and advising. Monitoring academic progress. Recruit quality student-athletes. Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications: 

Bachelors Degree required. Previously coaching experience preferred, but not mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good organizational skills and detail oriented. Valid driver’s license.

• Working hours necessary to perform job requirements satisfactory on a regular basis.
• Managing absences from work in a responsible manner to ensure service to university faculty, staff and students.
