This position is responsible for instructing student/athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.  Candidates will be responsible to recruit new student/athletes, schedule games, and handle all travel arrangements for the JV men’s basketball program.  Develop a strong network of coaches throughout Montana and the entire region to promote the men’s basketball program at Rocky Mountain College.  Be a positive mentor that will challenge and support student athletes.  This position will also assist the varsity men’s basketball program in all day to day operations.

Qualifications

Candidates need to demonstrate successful ability to develop healthy, trusting and respectful relationships with the players and colleagues.   Along with the ability to teach college-level basketball skills effectively and efficiently.

• Education and/or experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Coaching experience:  two years of assistant basketball coaching experience (College coaching experience preferred)

Other skills and abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills, positive motivator, planning, administrative, and organizational skills are required. Computer knowledge with email and word and excel. Ability to navigate social media and use it in a positive way to benefit the men’s basketball program
