Description:
The assistant coach’s responsibility and duties will be broken down as; 70% Coaching: practice planning, film breakdown, individual workouts and instruction, scouting of opponents, game planning, team instruction/on-court duties during practices and games; 25% Recruiting: emailing, calling, texting, and off-site evaluation; and 5% Second Duty: to be determined by Director of Athletics. The primary emphasis for this position is the instruction and retention of qualified student-athletes, and to uphold the rules and regulations of a competitive NCAA Division III program.
Primary Duties
Assisting the head coach in all aspects of daily operations of the program including, but not limited to:
  • practice and game coaching
  • film exchange
  • practice and game scheduling
  • arranging for team travel
  • on and off campus recruiting
  • compliance with all NCAA, SAA, and Hendrix College rules and regulations and responsibilities. Other duties as assigned
