Hillsborough Community College is a Division I member of the NJCAA which competes in the SunCoast Conference. This assistant coach position is responsible for providing exemplary student-athlete experience emphasizing academic achievement, personal development, social responsibility and competitive excellence. Responsibilities include organizing, developing and administering all phases of the Basketball program including on-court coaching, recruitment, budget management, fundraising, ordering of equipment, administering the schedule and team travel arrangements.

Prefer applicants with:
(1) at least two years of coaching experience at the high school and/or college level
(2) knowledge of and adherence of NJCAA/FCSAA rules and regulations
(3) strong interpersonal skills
(4) commitment to student athlete development
(5) demonstrate knowledge of specific sport.

This position requires at least an awarded Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited educational institution. Applicants must attach a copy of their diploma or transcript, showing at least the minimum qualifications, at the time of application. In addition, applicants must attach a cover letter and resume at the time of application detailing their coaching experience. If selected for an interview, applicants must bring an original transcript to the interview showing the awarding of the required degree. If the transcript has not been updated to show the awarding of the required degree, applicants must bring written documentation from the educational institution showing when the degree was awarded.

This position is Grade 3 (Part-Time Advanced Technician) and will not exceed 29 working hours per week. The assistant coach will work for the head coach, Assistant Dean of Athletics, Sarah Summerfield and the Dean of Student Services, Joe Bentrovato.
