The Assistant Coach works closely with the Head Coach to execute practice and game plans as determined by the Head Coach.  Specific attention will be given to individual skill development.  The Assistant Coach shall work with the Head Coach to provide constructive feedback and will assist in providing a written evaluation at the beginning and conclusion of each season.  As an ambassador for the School on the “front line” of contact and visibility, it is essential that the Assistant Coach demonstrates exemplary ethical and moral standards on and off the court.

Essential Job Duties:

• All administrators, faculty, and staff are called to assist students in their formation to be Christ-like students and thus must embrace and advance the Holy Cross mission of the College in all professional activities.
• Promote the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership, Sportsmanship.
• Supervise and work with peers toward a common goal.
• Effectively communicate with players and peers.
• Assist in the planning and conducting of practices.
• Be an instrumental part of the recruitment of future student-athletes and assist in the coordination of on-campus visits.
• Coordinate film exchange for non-conference contests, and be active in conference film exchange.
• Motivate players and coaches.
• Provide constructive feedback and evaluations.
• Be on time and prepared for all practices and games.
• Demonstrate exemplary ethical and moral standards on and off the court.
• Support other coaches, players, and teams within the college.
• Serve as an example of faith-based leadership while demanding appropriate conduct at all times from athletes.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
