Purdue University Fort Wayne invites applications for a 3rd Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach for Athletics. The position will:

• Assist the head men’s basketball coach with all aspects of managing a Division I men’s basketball program
• Coach during team/individual practices and competitions; independently responsible for managing specific areas of offense and/or defense
• Formulate and develop practice plans; supervise strength training programs and other fitness/health training programs
• Direct areas of competitions; lead pre-match/game warm-up and track opponent information; recommend game adjustments/contribute relevant information during timeouts
• Responsible for the recruitment of athletes who have demonstrated academic and athletic ability; identify, analyze and advise head coach of possible recruits for team selection; direct recruiting visits and the development of recruiting materials; review and update the recruiting process
• Serve as an instructor for HPER classes for the School of Education
• Participate in development activities
• Promote department by participating in campus and community functions, booster club, camps and clinics
• Assist with administrative duties as assigned
• Participate in departmental meetings
