SMSU invites applications for a fixed-term full-time position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach/Instructor. The Assistant Coach will be involved in all aspects of coaching responsibilities including recruiting, practice, organization, scheduling, trip organization, fundraising, alumni relations and summer camps. Responsibilities may also include intramural director, game management, marketing, advertising and promotions, special events, weight room/fitness center director and Office of Admission recruiting. Responsibilites may include budgeting and hiring and supervision of student workers. Coaching and administrative duties will be 75% of the assignment. The position includes teaching assignment of six credits (25%) that reflect the candidate’s degree, prior teaching experience and/or area of expertise.
