Ithaca College invites applications for an Assistant Coach of Men’s Basketball. Ithaca College is a liberal arts institution, a member of the Liberty League, offering undergraduate education to its 4,500 undergraduate students and 470 graduate students.

Primary duties include working closely with the Head Coach to develop and coach an NCAA Division III athletic team and assist with all phases of directing and managing a successful program. Maintain knowledge of coaching strategies and oversee all aspects of the team. Actively ensure compliance with all NCAA and Ithaca College rules and regulations; participate in establishing goals and objectives for each season; recruiting and assessing prospective student athletes for the program. Design and provide instruction on individual and team skills and physical health and safety to student athletes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years related experience. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Cultural competence and effective communication skills are required.
• Successful candidate will be self-motivated and possess the ability to recruit, teach and coach highly talented student-athletes who can succeed in a challenging academic environment.
• Experience with using video breakdown, analysis, and analytics to improve team performance.
