Lake Forest College invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. The position will offer the chosen candidate an opportunity to assist the head coach in a wide variety of duties. Lake Forest College is private liberal arts college located 30 miles north of Chicago. The Foresters are members of NCAA Division III and compete in the Midwest Conference.

In the 2018-19 season, Lake Forest reached the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament for the first time in school history. Additionally, the Foresters have won a combined 35 games the past two seasons, the most in any two consecutive seasons in program history.

Responsibilities:

Assistant coach will be involved in all aspects of running an NCAA Division III program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, on-court instruction for practice and games, scouting and game film preparation, along with other assigned duties. Successful candidates must have strong interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment while motivating student-athletes.
