Malone University is seeking a qualified assistant coach to provide support to the men’s basketball program. The assistant will report directly to the head coach and must adhere to the University, NCAA and Great Midwest Athletic Conference by-laws and guidelines. Responsibilities include, successful recruitment, scouting, development and retention of student-athletes, fiscal management, fundraising, and scheduling. In addition, the assistant coach will assist in the organization of practices, competitions, travel and community engagement.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree is required. A coaching background in collegiate basketball; a thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; excellent communication skills; strong organizational and leadership skills, and a proven ability to recruit and develop student-athletes are preferred. A commitment to faith integration and character development is essential.

Job Classification:

Part-time, $12,000
