McKendree University seeks a full-time assistant coach for the Men’s Basketball Program. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional organization, recruiting savvy, and player-development expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruiting: Lead year-round prospect identification, communication, visits, and social-media outreach—always in full NCAAII/GLVC compliance.
• Player Development: Design and run position-specific workouts, film/analytics sessions, practice segments, and bench coaching.
• Academic Support & Mentorship: Track grades, coordinate study hall, and foster life-skills growth.
• Program Support: Assist with opponent scouting, fundraising, alumni engagement, camps, and clinics.

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Demonstrated success in recruiting, player development, and program organization.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree.
• Two years of collegiate coaching experience.
