Description:
Newman University, is in search of a full time Volunteer Assistant Coach.  Position reports to the Head Basketball Coach.

Primary Responsibilities may include the following, but not be limited to, based on skills and experience:

  • On Floor Coaching
  • Opponent Scouting
  • Player Development
  • Practice Preparation
  • Team Travel
  • Academic Monitoring
  • Administrative Duties
  • Other duties assigned by the head coach
  • Assist with team fund raising and alumni activities
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Previous experience playing or coaching at the high school, collegiate or professional levels
  • A strong desire to progress their careers in collegiate coaching
  • Be willing to take on a full time work load during season
  • Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of relevant experience.
  • Valid divers licenses
