Peru State College (PSC) seeks qualified applicants for a part-time men’s basketball coaching assistant or would consider hiring a Graduate Assistant (tuition assistance provided for GA).

Responsibilities:  PSC is a NAIA member athletic institution which supports thirteen varsity and five junior varsity athletic teams in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, academic monitoring of student-athletes, film breakdown, game day duties, assist at recruiting events, assist with varsity and junior varsity programs, and other duties as assigned by the head men’s basketball coach. This position will report directly to the head men’s basketball coach.

A high school diploma is required, bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Preference will be given to individuals with previous basketball coaching experience. Bachelor’s degree is required for GA position.

Position will begin after August 1st. Compensation will $8,000 annually. This position requires work hours outside of the normal work week, including evening, weekend and holiday hours. There are no benefits associated with this hourly position and the position will not be entitled to a specific term of employment. This position is temporary in nature and may be discontinued at any time at the discretion of the College without cause or advance notice.

This position is subject to veteran’s preference. Offers of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory results of a background check.
