Description: | South Dakota School of Mines & Technology (SD Mines) is seeking a part-time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. This is a part-time (25% effort), overtime-eligible, non-benefited position. Working dates are from September 22 through April 21 of each year. Duties will include assisting the Head Men’s Basketball Coach in all phases of the operation of the men’s basketball program. Major emphasis will include identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student athletes and the organization and carrying out of all aspects of recruiting, on and off campus. Additional responsibilities will include game video breakdown and scouting; assisting with player development; assisting with team related administrative responsibilities such as scheduling and travel arrangements; monitoring players academic progress and success; assisting with organization of promotions and alumni relations; assisting with practice and game planning; and other duties as assigned. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Established in 1885, the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is a science and engineering research university located in Rapid City, South Dakota.
