Southern Arkansas University, a NCAA Division II member institution and member of the Great American Conference (GAC) is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. The responsibility of the assistant coach is to support the head coach in all phases of a highly competitive program including, but not limited to: recruiting and retention of student athletes; practice and game preparation; academic monitoring and mentoring; team travel; public relations and fundraising; administration of summer camps; commitment to full compliance of the University, NCAA and GAC regulations; and other duties as assigned. Additionally, the Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach will fulfill a secondary duty as Life Skills Coordinator and coordinate community service engagements for SAU Athletics within the Magnolia community. Prior experience at the collegiate level is required, NCAA level preferred. Applicant must currently have or be able to quickly obtain a CDL. Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred
