ESSENTIAL DUTIES
-Provide skill instruction and conditioning work consistent with a high-performing NCAA Division III varsity athletic program.
-Recruit and retain highly talented athletes who also have the academic acumen to thrive at SU.
-Participation in fundraising activities to support program objectives.
-Compliance with all university, conference, and NCAA policies, procedures, and bylaws.
-Be an outstanding mentor to our students by modeling professionalism and high moral standards.
-Support classroom excellence by utilizing all available university resources in support of students.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
-Serve as an Administrator in Charge (AIC) of select events during the year.
-Participate on campus committees as requested.
-Serve as an instructor for ESS or FRA classes if qualified.
-Other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics or designee.

Minimum education, experience, licenses, certifications, and competencies (knowledge, skills, and behaviors)
which are necessary for performing the listed duties. (Human Resources may determine when other education or experience is required.)
-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
-Proven experience in coaching and ability to demonstrate proper techniques unique to the sport
-CPR and First Aid or a willingness to become certified within three months of hire
-Have knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of cultural differences and the diversity within the campus and community.

Further preferred qualifications which are also desirable for performing the listed duties.

-Collegiate or professional playing experience in the sport
-Experience in recruiting college-level varsity athletes
